A new twist on Maryland crab cakes
One of our regular clients, Jerry’s Seafood Restaurants, is launching a new fast casual concept of crab cake restaurants. They’ve brought in a tremendous executive chef and the first location should open in Annapolis (of course) this winter.

Those of you not from Maryland may not be familiar with the concept of the crab cake – so by way of education let me say that they’re made from crab meat (blue, not dungeness) egg, spices and as little bread filler as possible. Usually about the size of a hockey puck, they’re either deep fried, pan fried or broiled. Jerry’s sells a crab cake they call the Crab Bomb. It’s about the size of a softball! That’s big.
