No more pencils, no more books
Not that pre-K has books or pencils but you get the point. School’s out this week, along with the end of long days at home with time to get work done.(or play video fps video games.) Bennett has found out about Star Wars over the course of the school year. It’s amazing what the kids learn in school (other than the obvious.) so he’s been begging for a light saber. I told him that he can have one if he’s good the rest of the year. If he’s going to get one then I’d better get another, you know, for his sister.
Ah, summer
With the coming of Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning of summer. If the date on the calendar weren’t enough, the local snowball stand opened this weekend. Today’s the first day back to school for the kids and sure enough, as we pass by they scream, I want snowball!!!!! How can you say no to that.
Also, please use the opportunity of the Memorial Day holiday to thank our veterans and support them. The Walter Reed Society and the USO are both great ways to help.
