Packaging for grocery products

leave a comment »

Out of all of the differing types of commercial work we do, packaging is the most meticulous. Of course all food photography takes time and is complex, but packaging specifically takes that extra level of detail. Below are two final pieces we did for a client last year.  In each case we worked closely with the end client (Snikiddy) and the ad agency (Unison.) Both projects required extensive testing and collaboration between the production crew, the client and the agency.  In the end we had great results and I was only seeing fries in my sleep for three nights after the shoot.

More Savory food items

leave a comment »

We get to shoot some great food items on a quarterly basis for many of our clients, as their menus change frequently.  This week, pork loin, honey bbq wings and a bison burger from Glory Days Grill. According to their beverage director, after the table tents were launched, sales of the bison burger took off!

Below are a few shots from a recent restaurant review we did in DC – The Carving Room. Bourbon drinks, Cuban sandwiches and rustic decor – what’s not to love?

Annapolis area cottage

In the Annapolis area is a wonderful community called Sherwood Forest full of cottages, many overlooking the Severn river. We shot one some time ago recently renovated. Included below are a couple of images from that assignment, including the same shot twice. Once from the afternoon, then again in the evening.
